The STROMSBURG INFO community website uses no public funds or tax money whatsoever for its development and operational costs. It was developed, and is maintained, by Guru Mountain Web Design at their own expense for the purpose of providing a community site which can promote local area businesses, events, activities and projects without incurring any expense to the citizens of Stromsburg or having to rely on the slow wheels of bureaucracy to accomplish anything useful. It is intended to be a public asset, and as such, will require input and involvement from the community and the site’s visitors in order to achieve its goals.

The only income generated by this site is through advertising, and rates are set to extremely low levels (especially for area businesses) in order to make advertising on the site affordable to anyone, including home businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Our goal is to offset some of the site’s costs, not to rake in money from people who have limited budgets. Advertising rates run from $10 to $150 per YEAR… depending on ad placement and other factors… not hundreds of dollars per month. Big business and corporate rates for entities not in the Stromsburg area are higher, and ad placement will always favor local businesses over all others.

Area businesses and organizations may feel free to contact us when they have events planned they wish to promote on the site. There is a bulletin board system (Discussion Forums) as well as a Site News weblog and an event calendar incorporated into the site for this purpose, and businesses and organizations who advertise on the site have even more options on the main website for promoting their events.
