Guru Mountain's STROMSBURG INFO Community Website was conceived as a way for local area business and organization leaders to have access to advertising and promotion opportunities on the World Wide Web at an entry level, and at an affordable cost. Our rates are held to extremely low levels, in an effort to offset the site's development and operating costs only, while putting web technologies within the reach of even the most restricted budgets. Like any other tool, it can't help you if you don't pick it up and use it. CONTACT US for more information on how we can help you take advantage of the most powerful information exchange technology on earth.

Shrink Tube on Antenna Connector

Before we feed the coaxial cable assembly down through the mounting bracket tube, we want to do a couple of things to help protect the connectors from corrosion and the elements. Here, we've put 3/4-inch olefin heat shrink tube around the coaxial cable and connector at the antenna end. The cable and N-Type connectors are very expensive, and we don't want moisture and condensation inside the mounting tube to give us problems for a number of years. Climbing towers and rooftops for routine repairs is dangerous and annoying business. A little extra time and thought during the initial installation can save us a lot of headaches down the road.
